about

This is the last song on this album, and it was also the last song written. It's interesting how a song will sometimes be birthed out of the collective theme of the others, and this is one such case. This is basically a one sided conversation between Jesus and his “Christian”. Those of us who claim His Lordship over our lives, rarely act like it, or behave accordingly. We are predominately a faithless, dishonest, selfish people, yet we have been redeemed! This song shows his loving faithfulness and lovingkindness in spite of who we were, are, and will be. My prayer is that we, as the church, would begin to bear fruit worthy of repentance, and return the glory to Whom it is due. I'm very pleased with the lyrics that close out this album, and I pray they would bless and encourage you.

lyrics

Oh my friend, I will stick around for awhile
Don't you know, I will always go the extra mile
You can count on me being right here by your side
I will be your partner long after you've died

And then I can truly give
The life that you always wanted to live
Believe me when I say this is because
I love you!

Oh my friend, I will ask the same thing of you
Don't you know, your lies will never make me untrue
You can count, on me being right here by your side
I will remain faithful, long after you've lied

And then you will surely see
The life that you wanted was always me
Believe me when I say this again
I love you!

Sacrificial love is by far the greatest gift among men. ... more
