For Bill & Susan Hodge.
I wrote the first 2 verses of this song in May 2012, during the conception of “Knife & Novice”, which would later become “Threadbare Heart” as a CD. I had just been given a hand crafted luthier guitar from Bill at Rhema Guitars. This was the first thing ever composed on that guitar.
Today, that guitar belongs to Bill's uncle, who had admired it from the beginning, and a replacement is being constructed for me. The final verse came about in September 2013.
This song was specifically written to honor my friend, Bill Hodge.
